Therefore go and make disciple of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Migrating Again?

My wife and I were discussing until 2 am about how difficult it is to be living in London these days. The rising food cost, petrol, power, taxes, interest rates, etc. are adding more burden to our already "budgeted" income. In fact, we are even contemplating to move to the countryside where it is much cheaper or even move either to the US or Canada for much better and comfortable life. Many of our friends have already left the UK to seek better opportunities in Australia, Canada or United States where much better lives await them. But is this GOD's will?

But despite all these rising costs we are facing, GOD has been faithfully providing us our financial needs up to the last penny. Yes, finances may be really tight but the situation doesn't cause us to panic and make prompt decisions to leave this country and settle where the grass is greener. The US may look tempting but we know friends living there are more in a desperate situation than we are - overworked, no time for family, high cost of living, etc. We just have to trust GOD fully as long as we do our best and grow where we are planted and HE will surely be with us whatever the situation.

Migration as we know is very biblical. The first migration to be recorded was when Adam and Eve were driven out from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:22-24). Another story in The Book of Genesis is when God makes Cain a wanderer on the earth [we can compare this to criminals who left their homelands to seek life, refuge and protection abroad]; and the greatest story of migration is told in the Book of Exodus which also tells the story of the Jews "wandering" in the desert for 40 years in search of the Promised Land. All throughout the bible, the migration stories continue - escape from famine, destruction, war and persecution.

People move mainly by choice, by necessity and others by force. I do believe that I came here to the UK for a purpose. GOD pulled me out from my comfort zone back home and placed me here in the UK where I can grow in HIM. HE blessed me with a happy family, a church, great friends and restored me from brokeness. And should HE decide to put me to other places - that will be HIS decision and that I will obey.

I feel that GOD needs to move HIS people fast in order for HIS Kingdom to grow here on earth. Wherever HE takes them, HE surely wants HIS people to grow where they are planted otherwise, they will be uprooted bearing no fruits.

GOD's timing is great! HE moves people for specific purposes and when HE does, GOD is surely ahead with those who faithfully obey HIS will. "But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard." Isaiah 52:12
